Andrea Inghisciano studied trumpet and jazz at the Istituto Musicale “P.Mascagni” in Livorno with Marco Nesi and Mauro Grossi, then cornetto at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Bruce Dickey.

He leads the ensemble I Cavalieri del Cornetto, with wich he recorded “Tempesta di passaggi” (Arcana 2021) and “Trillo gagliardissimo” (Novantiqua 2024).

Beyond the concert activity he is also a cornetto maker.

As a cornetto player he has performed with ensembles as Il Giardino Armonico, Concerto Italiano, La Pifarescha, Opera Prima Ensemble, Cantar Lontano, La Venexiana, Concerto Romano, Concerto Scirocco, I Barocchisti, Cremona Antiqua, Modo Antiquo, Accademia Bizantina, Freiburger Barockorchester, Exploratori Ensemble, Collegium Vocale Gent, The English Cornett & Sackbut Ensemble, Arianna Art Ensemble, The Italian Consort, Concerto Palatino, Cappella Marciana, Nederlandse Bachvereniging, Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, Ensemble Claudiana, Academy of Ancient Music, Oltremontano, La Reverdie, Anthonello, La Stagione Armonica, Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra, I Fagiolini, Musica Amphion, Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Il Gusto Barocco, Finnish Baroque Orchestra, Capella Cracoviensis, Les Talens Lyriques, La Cetra Barockorchester Basel, Odhecaton and others.

After fifteen years exclusively dedicated to the early music, in 2024 he takes back the trumpet and performs mainly with the Magicaboola Brass Band.

He has taught cornetto at the conservatories of Palermo, Venezia, Livorno and Novara, and at the summer courses in Urbino and Valvasone.
